WHERE CURIOUS MINDS MEET

After over 100 years of literary publications and thousands of editions, The TLS was perceived as an old-fashioned book reviewer and not much besides. Pulse were asked to attract well-read subscribers by illustrating that The TLS is much more than that, covering diverse subjects with beautiful writing that enriches the mind.

We created dramatic portraits made up of various images of famous people, icons, historical figures and events. By challenging our inquisitive, well-read audience to identify different images, we made them aware of the diverse subjects covered in every issue. We ran a series of full-page and multiple-format print ads in the national press over a four-month period, starting from November 2019.
